Guinea pigs love apples but, as with all fruit, apples (both red and green) are high in sugar, so they must only be given as an occasional treat and shouldn’t form a major part of your guinea pigs
Cores, skins and apple seeds are all safe for your guinea pig to eat. Despite what you may hear, apple pips are not dangerous to guinea pigs, they won’t poison your guinea pig and they won’t choke on them either.
Apple skins are also good for your piggies but as with any fruit or vegetable you must wash them first and if you can buy unwaxed, organic apples that is even better!
